Job summary

Engmech Sdn Bhd, a Singapore-based air-conditioning & mechanical ventilation contractor, is seeking a Purchaser. You will source and evaluate suppliers for construction materials, request quotations, and manage end-to-end purchase processes to ensure on-time delivery to sites.

The role requires a diploma with 2+ years' procurement experience, and strong skills in MS Office and Excel to maintain procurement records and support cost estimations across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma level with at least 2 years of related working experience.
• Familiarity with construction materials, suppliers, and project procurement requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for construction materials, equipment, and services.
• Request and analyse quotations from multiple vendors.
• Manage and process all Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Delivery Orders, and supplier Invoices in accordance with company procedures.
• Verify material specifications, quantities, and pricing before confirming orders.
• Maintain complete records of procurement transactions.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery to construction sites.
• Coordinate with site engineer and supervisors.
• Communicate with the management, all contractors on the costing estimation.
