Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a purchasing professional in Singapore to source and buy construction, maintenance, repair and handyman materials, tools and equipment. You will obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate with suppliers, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires coordinating with project/site teams, monitoring stock levels, and maintaining supplier relationships to meet budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience in construction/building/renovation.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and market pricing.
• Excellent negotiation and quotation comparison skills.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple requests.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase construction, maintenance, repair and handyman materials, tools and equipment.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices and negotiate with suppliers.
• Manage purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with project/site teams on material requirements and delivery schedules.
• Monitor stock levels and arrange timely replenishment.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and source new suppliers when required.
• Ensure purchases stay within project budget.
• Handle quotations, purchase orders, invoices and other purchasing documentation.
