Job summary

HUA CHEN CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. invites a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary projects in Singapore. You will plan, manage, and supervise from start to finish, ensuring compliance with BCA regulations and WSH requirements.

You will coordinate clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site personnel, lead site meetings, monitor schedules, budgets, quality, and risks, and drive safety and performance across multiple projects while delivering on contract obligations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and supervise construction projects from commencement to completion.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
• Ensure all works comply with project specifications, contract requirements, and Singapore building regulations.
• Lead site meetings and coordinate project activities to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Monitor site productivity, quality of work, and project costs.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company safety policies.
• Review and approve work schedules, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Manage project documentation, progress claims, variation orders, and subcontractor performance.
• Liaise with relevant authorities for inspections and statutory approvals.
• Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Lead and motivate the project team to achieve project objectives.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction project management in Singapore.
• Strong knowledge of local construction practices, BCA regulations, and WSH requirements.
• Experience managing building, renovation, upgrading, or A&A projects will be an advantage.
• Good leadership, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project scheduling software (Microsoft Project or Primavera is an advantage).
• Possession of BCSS, Supervise Construction Work for WSH, or other relevant certifications will be an advantage.
• Class 3 Driving Licence is preferred but not mandatory.
