Job summary

The People’s Association seeks a Community Communications Officer to support the CDC’s communication plans, engage stakeholders, and promote government policies across platforms. You will monitor media trends, build partnerships with media and community partners, and contribute to content development for internal and external audiences.

You will coordinate with PA divisions to ensure consistent messaging and help achieve community engagement goals while maintaining budget discipline and timely

Qualifications

• General degree required; public communications experience preferred.
• Experience in communications/public relations is desirable.
• Must be IT-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office and design software.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented with strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under tight timelines; team player while able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Work with PA leadership to execute community communications plans across government policies.
• Monitor news trends and provide timely analysis and recommended responses.
• Build alliances with media, partners, and community stakeholders to promote CDC work.
• Develop content for multiple platforms to inform staff and stakeholders and support governance".
• Monitor budget usage to align resources with outcomes and maintain internal controls.
