Job summary

Government Technology Agency (GovTech) is seeking a Communications Officer to support the Constituency Office in driving external and internal communications, producing audience-specific content for social media and mainstream media, and coordinating with the GROs to promote social cohesion in the community.

You will amplify PA and Whole of Government messages through CO networks, manage digital assets, and contribute to developing programmes to engage diverse groups, ensuring accurate content

Qualifications

• Interest or experience in communications, including social media.
• Interest in current affairs and national policies, with awareness of community issues.
• Excellent English writing; Mandarin, Malay or Tamil knowledge helpful and proofreading ability.
• Social media user; enjoys online networking.
• Motivated team player and collaborative worker.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Constituency Director to develop the CO’s annual communications plan aligned with PA objectives.
• Curate an archive of community stories and photos showcasing CO work.
• Grow the CO’s social media presence; manage digital assets and content calendar.
• Work with PAHQ and volunteers to develop and amplify content for dissemination.
• Monitor media reports and online conversations for PA-related opportunities and issues.
• Oversee development of marketing materials to ensure brand alignment and content appropriateness.
• Understand local community demographic profiles to tailor engagement programmes.
• Facilitate formation of interest groups and local communication networks to boost community bonds.
• Coordinate with partners to grow local demographic-based networks and feedback channels.
