Job description

Responsibilities

• Estimating Strategy and Planning - The ability to design, develop and implementation of Estimating strategy and workflow in meeting customers' requirements and satisfaction.
• Estimating Management and Execution - The ability to meet tender submission deadlines by preparing cost estimates and quotation based on estimating methodology.
• Estimating Cost and Pricing Research - The ability to source pricings from quotations from suppliers/subcontractors and conduct cost benchmarking and pricing research.
• Contract Development and Management - The ability to maximise the organisation's operational and financial performance by drafting contracts, negotiating the contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions, and effecting amendments.
• Marketing & Sales - The ability to value add by promoting marketing and sales function.
• Works closely with Production, Engineering and Procurement Heads on the details of work breakdown structure for complex project and initiates meetings for discussions, when required.
• Reviews cost estimates prepared by junior team members, ensuring estimated cost risks and costing variables meet the allowable budget and profit margin for the tendered project.
• Lead in negotiating the contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with Company’s Policies and procedures.
• Lead in contractual negotiation & documentation preparation.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering, Marine Construction disciplines
• 5-8 years of experience in cost estimating, quantity surveying, or project lead preferably in in a marine and/or offshore environment.
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good ability to read technical drawings and project specifications.
• Detail-oriented with good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Able to lead a team and perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
