Job summary

Ren Ci Hospital is seeking an Executive to streamline patient admissions and manage referrals to ensure efficient bed occupancy across its facilities. The role involves coordinating with social workers, nursing teams, and referring institutions to optimize admission timing and ward allocation.

The candidate should have a healthcare or social service background with strong interpersonal and time-management skills, and capable of working both independently and in a team. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Healthcare or Social Service preferred.
• At least 3 years of working experience in healthcare or social care.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work effectively as an individual, and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills, highly organised and meticulous.

Responsibilities

• Process and facilitate efficient patient admissions to ensure optimal bed occupancy.
• Retrieve and process referrals to assess eligibility by reviewing medical and nursing needs.
• Ensure referrals are processed for acceptance within 1 working day.
• Liaise with Medical Social Workers and Nurses for referrals from Nursing Homes and CSU.
• Provide updates on assessment outcomes and recommendations for alternatives where suitable.
• Coordinate admission details (ward, bed, transfer time) with referring institutions.
• Monitor bed occupancy to align BOR with budgeted targets.
• Prepare and submit reports to MOH and management; update department head as required.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in hospital-wide projects.
