Job summary

MTC Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer in Singapore to lead and support design and construction activities for industrial facilities. You will interact with process, mechanical, electrical teams and consultants to ensure compliant, safe, and timely project delivery.

The role requires a degree in civil engineering and 3–5 years of relevant design and construction experience, including site work and precast/steel structures.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3–5 years of design and construction experience.
• Industrial buildings experience with precast and long-span roof trusses.
• Site experience on piling, sub-structure and super-structure works.
• Experience liaising with process, mechanical, electrical disciplines and quantity surveyors.
• Experience checking shop drawings for precast and steel structures.
• Knowledge of codal design requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in achieving project completion within budget and on schedule and quality.
• Prepare, issues and evaluate tender packages.
• Coordinate with architectural, process, mechanical, electrical disciplines and quantity surveyors.
• Address site issues related to design.
• Liaises with consultants and sub-contractors.

• Remain familiar with current practices and engineering trends and stay technically competent.
• Ad hoc duties as determined by management.

Role Purpose

Involves in all aspects relating to the Design and Construction Management of all types of Civil and Structural Systems for Industrial Facilities Buildings; Assists in the design of Concrete and Steel Structures;

Job Responsibilities

• Assists Project Managers in achieving project completion within budget and on schedule and quality
• Prepares, Issues and Evaluates Tender packages
• Coordinates with Architectural, Process, Mechanical, Electrical disciplines and Quantity surveyors
• Address site issues related to design
• Liaises with Consultants and sub-contractors
• Manages timely submission and approvals from local authorities
• Responsible for ensuring to remain familiar with current practices and engineering trends within the industry and to remain technically competent
• Ad hoc duties as determined by management

Job Requirement

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 3 to 5 years of design and construction experience
• Design and Construction experience preferably in industrial buildings with Precast and Long span roof trusses experiences
• Site experience on piling works, Sub-structure and Super structure works for reinforce concrete, Steel structures and Precast structures
• Experience working closely with Process, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines and Quantity surveyor
• Experience of liaise with consultants and contractors
• Experience with checking of shop drawings for Precast and steel structures and
• Element design based on codal requirements
• Knowledge of Structural design software STAAD-Pro, Prokon, Orion and etc (if any)
