Job summary

CHINA COMMUNICATIONS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY LIMITED (Singapore Branch) is looking for a Structural Engineer in Singapore. You will lead and manage the structural scope from design development to the construction stage, ensuring coordination between various trades and technical guidance during construction.

The ideal candidate should have a degree in civil engineering, a minimum of 5–10 years of experience in structural coordination, and be familiar with Singapore building codes. Strong leadership and coordination skills are essential for this role.

Job Description

• Lead and manage the Structural scope from design development to construction stage.
• Review and coordinate Structural drawings with Archi, M&E, and specialist trades to ensure buildability, constructability and minimize clashes.
• Provide value engineering proposal from the tender stage throughtout the contruction stage.
• Understand and assist project manager to set up the rebar ratio discipline and guideline, liaise with consultant to implement and control the rebar ratio.
• Act as main point of contact between the design consultants and construction team.
• Attend and lead design coordination meetings, resolving technical and design issues promptly
• Provide technical guidance during construction to ensure design quality and intent are maintained.
• Work with site team to resolve discrepancies between design and site conditions.
• Oversee submission of structural shop drawings, material approvals, and as-built drawings;
• Coordinate with precaster to produce the precast drawings, including but not limited to PPVC, PBU, APCS drawings.

Job Requirements

• Education: Degree in civil engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in structrual coordination or design for residential projects in Singapore;
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Singapore building codes, BCA regulations, authority submission process, and industry standards.
• Familiar with precast and advanced construction methods.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
• Strong coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to resolve design and site issues effectively.
• Competent in BIM / AutoCAD and related coordination tools
