Job summary

Exyte in Singapore is seeking a Civil/Structural Design Engineer with 3–5 years of design and construction experience for industrial facilities.

You will support project managers, coordinate with process, mechanical, electrical disciplines and quantity surveyors, and review shop drawings for precast and steel structures. This role offers growth within a global engineering group and requires hands-on site exposure.

Qualifications

• Design and construction experience in industrial buildings.
• Ability to read and check shop drawings for precast and steel.
• Experience coordinating with Process, Mechanical, Electrical and QS teams.
• Knowledge of codal structural requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers to meet budget and schedule targets.
• Prepare, issue and evaluate tender packages.
• Coordinate with architectural, process, mechanical, electrical disciplines and quantity surveyors.
• Address site design issues and liaise with consultants and subcontractors.
• Ensure timely submissions and approvals from local authorities.
• Ad hoc duties as determined by management.

Job description

• Involves in all aspects relating to the Design and Construction Management of all types of Civil and Structural Systems for Industrial Facilities Buildings;
• Assists in the design of Concrete and Steel Structures;

Job Responsibilities

• Assists Project Managers in achieving project completion within budget and on schedule and quality;
• Prepares, Issues and Evaluates Tender packages;
• Coordinates with Architectural, Process, Mechanical, Electrical disciplines and Quantity surveyors;
• Address site issues related to design;
• Liaises with Consultants and sub-contractors;
• Manages timely submission and approvals from local authorities
• Responsible for ensuring to remain familiar with current practices and engineering trends within the industry and to remain technically competent;
• Ad hoc duties as determined by management

Job Requirement:

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 3 to 5 years of design and construction experience
• Design and Construction experience preferably in industrial buildings with Precast and Long span roof trusses experiences
• Site experience on piling works, Sub-structure and Super structure works for reinforce concrete, Steel structures and Precast structures
• Experience working closely with Process, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines and Quantity surveyor
• Experience of liaise with consultants and contractors
• Experience with checking of shop drawings for Precast and steel structures and
• Element design based on codal requirements
• Knowledge of Structural design software STAAD-Pro, Prokon, Orion and etc (if any)
