Job summary

Gammon Pte. Limited in Singapore is seeking a capable Senior Site Engineer to support the Project Manager with onsite technical matters, prepare shop drawings and reports, and lead site coordination for a major construction project.

The role requires a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and at least 5 years of building experience; senior level consideration for more experienced candidates. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD and BIM is essential, with a focus on safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board Singapore or Building and Construction Authority
• At least 5 years’ experience in building engineering projects; more for senior roles
• Experience with PPVC/MET projects is advantageous
• Completed QM project and registered CoreTrade Foreman or Supervisor is advantageous
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD and BIM; excellent communication and team skills

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in all onsite technical, engineering matters and authority submissions
• Prepare submission of shop drawings, materials, method statements, monthly progress claims and project management reports
• Lead in site coordination and execution relating to the construction project
• Plan micro scheduling with other trades against master programme
• Update progress with scheduling tools across structural, architectural and M&E
• Supervise projects to ensure compliance with procedures, standards and specifications
• Ensure supervisors and foremen meet clients’ regulatory work requirements
• Ensure compliance with TOP checklist and all inspection activities
• Maintain environmental, safety and health practices on site

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Manager in all onsite technical, engineering matters and authority submissions
• Prepare submission of shop drawing, materials, method of statement,monthly progress claims and project management reports
• Lead in site coordination and execution relating to the construction project
• Planning of micro scheduling with other trades & disciplines against master programme
• Update structural / architectural / M&E progress with scheduling tools
• Supervise and monitor projects are carried out in accordance to company’s operating procedures, quality standards and contractual specifications
• Ensure supervisors & foremen meets clients’ regulatory work requirements
• Ensure compliance withTemporary Occupation Permit (TOP)checklist
• Responsible for all inspection activities being carried out
• Ensure environmental, safety and health practices are carried out at all times
  

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised byProfessional Engineers Board Singapore or Building and Construction Authority
• At least5 years’ experience in building engineering projects
• Candidate with more experience will be considered for a senior role
• Experience with Precast /Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction(PPVC) /Mass Engineered Timber (MET) projects will have an added advantage
• Completed Quality Mark (QM) project and a registeredCoreTrade Foremen or Supervisor will have an added advantage
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD and BIM
• Organised, meticulous with positive work attitude
