Job summary

Exyte is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to support the design and construction management of industrial facilities. You will contribute to concrete and steel structures, collaborate with process, mechanical, electrical teams, and ensure design integrity throughout site works.

The role requires a degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 10 years’ design and construction experience, including precast, long-span, and piling works.

Qualifications

• 10 years of design and construction experience.
• Design and construction experience in industrial buildings with precast and long span.
• Roof truss experience.
• Site experience on piling works, sub-structure and super-structure for reinforced concrete, steel, and precast structures.
• Experience liaising with Process, Mechanical, Electrical disciplines and Quantity surveyors.
• Experience with checking shop drawings for precast and steel structures and providing details for CAD teams.
• Knowledge of codal requirements for element design.
• Knowledge of structural design software such as STAAD-Pro, Prokon, Orion.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in achieving project completion within budget, schedule and quality.
• Prepare, issue and evaluate tender packages.
• Coordinate with Architectural, Process, Mechanical, Electrical disciplines and Quantity surveyors.
• Address site issues related to design.
• Liaise with Consultants and sub-contractors.
• Manage timely submission and approvals from local authorities.
• Stay familiar with current practices and engineering trends; maintain technical competence.
• Ad hoc duties as determined by management.

• Assists in the design of Concrete and Steel Structures;

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 10 years of design and construction experience
• Design and Construction experience preferably in industrial buildings with Precast and Long span
• roof trusses experiences
• Site experience on piling works, Sub-structure and Super structure works for reinforce concrete, Steel structures and Precast structures
• Experience working closely with Process, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines and Quantity surveyor
• Experience of liaise with consultants and contractors
• Experience with checking of shop drawings for Precast and steel structures and able to do detailed Design and work in a team and able to provide details for computer aided design team
• Element design based on codal requirements
• Knowledge of Structural design software STAAD-Pro, Prokon, Orion and etc (if any)
