Job summary

A leading chemical manufacturer in Singapore is looking for a qualified laboratory supervisor to oversee the analysis of raw materials and finished products. The role includes maintaining lab equipment, addressing quality issues, and documenting compliance requirements. Candidates will also be responsible for conducting training for subordinates and ensuring a safe work environment. A background in laboratory management and experience with analytical tools is expected.

Job description

• Supervise and perform physical and chemicals analysis of our raw materials, intermediates and finished products
• Trouble-shoot, investigate and rectify analytical and quality issues
• Operate, trouble-shoot and maintain our lab equipment such as ICP OES, Auto-Titrators, Particle Size Analyzer, density meter, pH meters etc.
• Conduct research work and lab scale products development so as to improve existing products quality and create new product lines
• Documentation of lab equipment, testing methods and results for regulatory and quality compliance
• Create risk assessment, standard operating procedure (SOP), analytical method development, transfer and validation as part of quality and safety management systems
• Manage general administration of the lab which includes purchasing of lab equipment, chemicals and apparatus
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all employees working in the lab
• Develop training materials and conduct training/mentoring to sub-ordinates and interns
