J.A.P DINING CONCEPTS PTE. LTD. operates Yappari Steak House and is seeking a Chef Assistant to join the kitchen team. As a Kitchen Crew member, you will support food preparation and help ensure smooth kitchen operations while delivering quality service to guests.

The role emphasizes a learning mindset, teamwork, and flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a bustling restaurant environment at multiple locations in Singapore.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; passion for food.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety is a plus.

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our dynamic team as Chef Assistant in our thriving restaurant Yappari Steak house. As a Kitchen Crew member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Main Responsibilities (but not limited to)

• 1. Food prep: Wash, slice, marinate, and portion meats (such as wagyu or ribeye), seafood, and vegetables according to restaurant standard.
• 2. Grill & Hot Section: Basic hot-kitchen equipment, fryers or hot stones under supervision.
• 3. Cleanliness & Hygiene: Maintain strict food safety practices, sanitize workspaces, dispose of waste properly etc.

Requirements:

• 1. No prior experience required however, a passion for food and willingness to learn is essential.
• 2. Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety practices is a plus.
• 3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• 4. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• 5. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• 6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
