Job summary

E-Bridge Pre-School in Singapore seeks a Centre Leader to oversee operations and ensure ECDA compliance and adherence to SOPs. You will foster a culture of care, collaboration and professionalism among staff and guide a holistic curriculum aligned with the school’s values.

You will model leadership, mentor teachers, maintain enrolment strategies and ensure rigorous student records while upholding high standards of communication with parents and the wider school community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education from an approved institution.
• Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education (Leadership) or equivalent.
• At least 5 years working experience in a pre-school with 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of inquiry-based learning is preferred or willing to acquire.
• Strong management, attention to detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Together with the Pedagogy team, provide leadership to teachers in curriculum design and implementation of teaching.
• Coach and support teachers to monitor and assess children's learning and development.
• Develop strategies to market and maintain enrolment to maximise school capacity.
• Manage cost control in all aspects of school operations.
• Select, coach and mentor teachers to optimise relationships with parents and colleagues.
• Maintain student records and teacher-to-student ratio as required by the Ministry.
• Maintain school facilities and environment to support learning.
• Establish and maintain positive communication with parents and the school community.
• Organise school events to support cultural, festive events, racial harmony and a green environment.

Job description

The Centre Leader is responsible for managing Centre operations and ensuring they adhere to ECDA regulations and E-Bridge’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). He/she leads by fostering a shared vision among staff and upholds quality by nurturing professionalism and a culture of care, respect and collaboration within the Centre. The Centre Leader also inspires professionalism through role modelling, and guiding the staff in designing and implementing a holistic curriculum underlined by E-Bridge’s values and philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Together with the Pedagogy team , provide leadership to teachers in quality early childhood curriculum design, development and implementation of teaching;
• Coach and support teachers to monitor, assess, document and maintain evaluation and assessment of children’s learning and development;
• Develop strategies to market and maintain the school’s student enrolment to maximise the school capacity;
• Manage cost control in all aspects of school operations;
• Select, coach and mentor teachers to maximise their professional relationship with parents, harmonious working relations with colleagues and teaching performance for the growth of students under their care;
• Maintain students’ records and teacher to student ratio as required by the Ministry and where necessary stand in as class teacher to maintain such ratio;
• Maintain the school physical condition and maximise the facilities to provide learning environment of students;
• Establish and maintain positive and effective communication with parents and the school community;
• Organise school events to support cultural, festive events, racial harmony and green environment

Requirements

• A recognized Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education from an approved institution and Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education (Leadership) or its equivalent
• At least 5 years working experience in a pre-school with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Knowledge of or willingness to acquire knowledge of inquiry based learning is required
• Strong management skills preferred (e.g. attention to details, problem solving and knowledge of quality standards and instruments.)
