Private Advertiser is seeking a Centre Principal in Singapore to lead a ~12‑person team and ensure viable enrolment and high-quality operations in a centre with mid-2-digit capacity. You will oversee daily programmes, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder communication while fostering a culture of care and learning.
The role emphasizes curriculum leadership, staff mentoring, and maintaining top safety and hygiene standards within the Centre.
As Centre Principal, you will be responsible for the Centre’s viability and optimal enrolment of children with a team of ~12 staff, efficiency of all daily operations of an infant and child care centre, in full compliance with relevant legislations, industry guidelines, company policies and procedures. The Centre is a small-sized centre with a total capacity of a mid 2-digits figure.
Oversee the operations of the Centre and ensure that the daily routines and progammes are carried out smoothly
Liaise withMSF, ECDA,and other authorities concerning matters related to the Centre's operations in accordance with regulatory requirements
Ensure safety of children is the top priority
Organize events such excursions, workshops, open house, concerts etc.
Establish and maintain a collaborative relationship and open communication with parents and key stakeholders
Lead in developing strategic plans and structures to foster a culture of care and trust, mentoring, collaborative professionalism, and continuous learning within the Centre
Ensure oversight and quality delivery of the Centre’s curriculum
Mentor, support, and coach the staff team and grow them through effective leadership in all areas, including but not limited to curriculum leadership and pedagogical leadership
Ensure the centre's environment and hygiene are of the highest standards
Lead in integrating and upholding the Centre’s mission, vision, and core values within centre-wide curricula and programmes
Work closely with management and the rest of the teaching and non-teaching team to ensure staff well-being and morale
Possess a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education - Leadership (DECCE-L)
Preferably possess a Degree in Early Childhood Education from a renowned institution
Minimum 2 years in a leadership role in a childcare setting
Team player with excellent communication skills
Highly proficient in English (written and spoken) and minimally able to engage in conversational Mandarin (preferably also able to read and write in Chinese) (to liaise with Chinese speaking parents / key stakeholders)
Possess excellent written and communication skills
Independent and self-driven team player with ability to multi‑task
Valid child first aid certificateas recognized by ECDA
