Our client a financial institution is seeking an experienced Business Continuity Planning professional to maintain maintain, and enhance our organization’s business continuity and disaster recovery framework. The role involves partnering with business units, technology teams, and senior management to ensure resilience in the face of disruptions. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in coordination, testing, and executing BCP strategies, as well as strong knowledge of regulatory and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with business units to create, update, and maintain detailed continuity and recovery plans.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute regular BCP drills, tabletop exercises, and disaster recovery tests.
• Monitor and track remediation actions arising from BCP testing and risk assessments.
• Ensure BCP plans align with regulatory guidelines, industry standards, and corporate governance requirements.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate disaster recovery planning with BCP objectives.
• Prepare reports and dashboards for senior management and regulatory bodies on BCP readiness and performance.
• Support incident response activities and provide guidance during disruptions or crisis situations.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, regulatory changes, and best practices in business continuity management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Information Technology, or related field.
• Around 3 years of experience in business continuity planning, disaster recovery, or operational resilience roles.
• Understanding of BCP and DR frameworks
• Proven track record of planning and executing BCP/DR tests and exercises.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the financial services sector (e.g., MAS, HKMA, APRA) is an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing documentation and delivering training.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
