Job summary

AstraZeneca Singapore Pte Ltd is hiring a Manufacturing Shift Team Lead to supervise day-to-day operations on the Singapore campus, guiding a high-performing shift to meet production targets with a strong focus on safety, quality and compliance.

You will lead a cross-functional team, coordinating with QA, Engineering, Safety, Warehouse and Laboratory to ensure readiness of people, equipment and documents for right-first-time production in a fast-moving, highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in pharma or biopharma GMP manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in equipment troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and issue resolution in GMP environment.
• Understanding of GMP documentation, deviation management, change control, CAPA, and equipment lifecycle management.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and delivery in a regulated environment.
• Safety-first attitude with awareness of operator and equipment safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift in line with batch records, SOPs, permits and cGMP requirements; promote safety-first culture and take decisive action when risk arises.
• Translate production schedule into executable shift plan, assign work by technician capability, verify readiness of personnel, equipment and materials.
• Provide shopfloor leadership, mentor technicians, run start-up and handover meetings, ensure robust shift coverage.
• Contain and document abnormalities with initial impact assessments; lead/root-cause analysis and CAPA closure; support change controls and validation.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, SHE, Warehouse, Laboratory and MS&T to resolve issues; use data to improve safety, yield and cycle time.
• Support SOP and batch record readiness, equipment setup and lifecycle management; participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, qualification and validation.
