Job summary

Zenith Infotech (S) Pte Ltd is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to support a client project in Singapore on a 12-month contract. You will operate, install and monitor big data platforms to ensure stable, scalable data processing.

Responsibilities include ensuring reliability of core systems, evaluating deployment needs, and maintaining technical docs, security controls, and data governance practices.

Qualifications

• Solid basic software knowledge; understand Linux OS, storage, network IO.
• Familiar with programming languages such as Python/Go/Java/Shell/Ansible.
• Experience with Cloudera, Informatica, or Denodo is advantageous.
• Experience with Hadoop/HDFS, Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack, Spark, Flink is advantageous.
• Good data structures and system design knowledge preferred.
• Good information security knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform operation, installation, and monitoring of big data platforms.
• Ensure reliability of core systems for big data and online computing per SLA.
• Evaluate infrastructure requirements for deployments and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation on design, configuration, troubleshooting, backup, DR.
• Ensure deployment and operations comply with security, regulatory and audit requirements.
• Provide data governance recommendations and optimization best practices.
