Job summary

Hudson Singapore is seeking an experienced Data Platform Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable enterprise data platforms at our regional Data/AI HQ in Singapore.

The role covers real-time and batch processing, ownership of data lifecycle, and delivering analytics-ready data for BI, data science and self-service analytics. Must be based in Singapore with 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, software engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years hands-on data engineering experience with data warehousing/data lake platforms.
• Cloud experience (Azure/AWS/Alibaba Cloud).
• Experience building and optimizing big data pipelines and datasets.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala and/or Java.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem (Hive/HBase/Kafka/Spark).
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering.

Our client is one of the world prominent multinational company in the Industrial and Automation industry with yearly revenue in billion USD. Now, it is now looking to hire an experienced Data Data Platform Engineer for its regional Data/AI headquarter in Singapore.

About the Role

This role will be tasked to design, implement and manage scalable enterprise data platforms supporting both real-time and batch processing. The role owns the end-to-end data lifecycle and enables trusted, analytics-ready data assets for business intelligence, data science and self-service analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Analytics or related discipline.
• More than 5+ years of proven experience in hands-on experience in data engineering including building data warehousing, data lake platforms or related areas.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Alibaba Cloud.
• Expertise in building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures and datasets.
• Strong experience with data ingestion, transformation, cleansing and enrichment.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala and/or Java.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem technologies such as Hive, HBase, Kafka and Spark.
• Knowledge of SDLC processes and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management, requirements gathering and support skills.
• MUST BE based in Singapore currently and has relevant work experience in Singapore.
