Job summary

Zenith Infotech (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a DevOps and Systems Engineer to operate, install, and monitor large-scale data platforms, ensuring reliable performance of core systems and SLA compliance.

You will evaluate infrastructure needs for deployments, develop technical documentation, and ensure security and audit requirements. Experience with Hadoop, Kubernetes, Docker, Spark, and related tools is highly valued. Strong Linux, storage, and networking knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a DevOps/Systems in Unix environments.
• Solid knowledge of Linux, storage and network IO.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, Shell, or Ansible.
• Experience with Cloudera, Informatica, or Denodo and runtime components is advantageous.
• Experience with distributed big data systems (Hadoop/HDFS, Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack, Hadoop, Spark, Flink) is advantageous.
• Strong data structures and system design skills are preferred.
• Good knowledge of information security is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform operation, installation, and monitoring of big data platforms
• Ensure the reliability and normal operation of multiple core systems for big data and online computing, resolving issues within the agreed SLA
• Evaluate infrastructure requirements for deployments and upgrade activities
• Develop and maintain technical documentation related to design, configuration, troubleshooting, backup, DR, etc
• Ensure deployment and operations of the data platform comply with prevailing security, regulations and audit requirements
• Provide recommendations on data governance practices and in-depth optimizations best practices
