Job summary

MANPOWER STAFFING SERVICES (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking an experienced Data Platform Engineer to own and operate large-scale data environments (Cloudera CDP, Hadoop), delivering scalable, reliable infrastructure for batch and near real-time workloads.

You will drive DevOps, IaC with Terraform and Ansible, manage security, governance, and compliance, and collaborate with data engineers and scientists to continuously improve platform performance and availability.

Qualifications

5–10 years of experience in data platform engineering, big data operations or infrastructure engineering.
Hands-on experience with Cloudera CDP and Hadoop ecosystem components.
Proficiency in automation and scripting with Python, Bash, Terraform and Ansible.

Responsibilities

Data Platform Engineering & Operations for enterprise data platforms.
Design, deploy and manage large-scale environments (Cloudera, Hadoop) and ensure uptime.
Monitor performance, optimize capacity, and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
Plan upgrades, patching and scaling with minimal service disruption.
Implement IaC and CI/CD pipelines; automate provisioning and deployments.
Enforce security controls (Kerberos, Ranger) and data governance compliance.
Collaborate with data engineers, scientists and business teams to enable delivery.
