Job summary

NTT Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Application Support Engineer to back office/front office banking apps in a 12-month renewable contract, based in Singapore.

You will support market risk and VaR applications, leveraging Linux, SQL and scripting to resolve production issues and improve operational reliability. Ideal candidates have 6 months–2 years of hands-on experience in application support or related roles, with exposure to Elasticsearch, OpenShift and databases such as MariaDB/MongoDB.

Qualifications

• 6 months–2 years of hands-on experience in application support or related technical role.
• Working knowledge of Linux, including commands, processes, file systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to write SQL queries to investigate issues and validate data.
• Shell/Bash scripting; Python scripting is an advantage.
• Exposure to application logging and monitoring, preferably Elasticsearch.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployments and release procedures.
• Good analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn, take ownership of issues and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day production support and maintain service levels.
• Investigate errors, system anomalies and data issues.
• Use Linux commands and SQL queries for troubleshooting and data validation.
• Coordinate incidents and track progress to closure.
• Monitor applications to identify stability issues and support troubleshooting.
• Assist with deployments through CI/CD pipelines and release procedures.
