Job summary

NTT Data Singapore is seeking an Application Support Engineer (L2/L3) for a 12-month renewable contract to provide 24/7 production support for banking applications. The role covers incident management, release releases, and cross-team coordination across infrastructure, vendors, and security.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, plus strong SQL Server/Oracle skills. Comfort with Windows/Unix environments and scripting is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in production support
• Strong troubleshooting across full stack: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices
• Production support in banking applications on Windows/Unix environments
• Proficient in SQL Server and Oracle databases; able to write/debug SQL
• Familiarity with incident and problem management processes
• Willingness to rotate shifts for 24/7 coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide rotational 24/7 shift application support.
• Coordinate and support infrastructure maintenance activities.
• Manage implementations of new application releases following release management best practices.
• Collaborate with Peer Application Teams, Infrastructure, Vendors and Security.
• Manage production issues and respond per SLA with the business.
• Improve support processes to maintain and enhance service levels.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues affecting performance and reliability.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive resolution before they impact users.

About the job Application Support Engineer(L2/L3)

Contract Duration - 12 months Renewable

• Willing to work in shifts to provide rotational 24/7 shift application support duties as mentioned below.
• To coordinate and support infrastructure maintenance activities.
• To manage implementations of new application releases; adhering to the best practices of the release management process.
• To work with various partners such as Peer Application Teams, Infrastructure, Vendors, Security and Change teams, to provide seamless support for the business.
• To manage Production issues by responding in a timely manner in accordance to the Service Level Agreement with the Business
• To enhance existing support process to maintain/improve service level & quality.
• Has experience or knowledge on Incident and Problem management.
• Health check and monitoring production system and job scheduling to ensure SLA is meet.
• Troubleshoot and solve production issues related to performance and reliability throughout the software stack.
• Identify bottlenecks in the system and work to resolve these issues before they become a problem.
• At least 3-5 years of working experience, preferably in Banking or Anti money laundering.
• At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience on troubleshooting the applications run on full stack preferably in Java, Spring-boot, Microservices.
• At least 3-5 years of working experience in production support in banking applications running on Windows and Unix environments.
• Should have strong hold on SQL server/Oracle databases and able to write/debug the SQL programs.
• Good knowledge in Linux/Unix/Windows environment and scripting.
