Job summary

Bake Anthem in Singapore is hiring a full-time Baker to manage the bakery section, prepare doughs, shape and bake, and maintain quality sourdough products daily.

You will monitor ingredient stock, minimize wastage, ensure health and safety compliance, and work in a collaborative team with a family-friendly schedule. English communication and ability to lift up to 25kg are required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a full-spectrum baker or equivalent.
• Food hygiene and safety certification.
• Ability to communicate in spoken and written English.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate teamwork and reliability.
• Willing to lift up to 25kg.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily bakery operations.
• Prepare, shape and bake doughs.
• Bake a variety of sourdough breads.
• Monitor stock of baking ingredients.
• Minimize wastage and spoilage of ingredients.
• Ensure bakery area adheres to safety regulations.
• Clean kitchen and equipment at end of day.

Job Description:

• Managing daily operations of the bakery section of the kitchen
• Preparing doughs, shaping and baking of products.
• Preparing a variety of sourdough breads.
• Monitoring the stock of baking ingredients.
• Minimize wastage and spoilage of ingredients
• Ensuring the bakery section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations.
• Cleaning of kitchen and equipment daily at the end of the day.

Job Requirement:

• At least 1 years of working experience or more as a full spectrum Baker or relevant role (E.g mixing,shaping, baking)
• Possess food hygiene and safety certification.
• Ability to communicate in spoken and written English.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate strong ability to work in a team
• Able to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg)
• Prior knowledge in sourdough is advantageous, but not necessary
• Responsible, strong attention to details and actively problem solve
• Performance driven, instead of clock watcher

Work Arrangement:

• Working hours: 7am - 3.30pm, 1 hour break
• Working days: 5 days per week
• Required to work on Public holidays
