Job summary

INGRASYS (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced engineering professional to ensure production machines and automation systems operate at optimal condition, meeting performance targets and quality standards.

You will lead installation, integration, and setup of automation solutions, support NPI ramp-ups, perform root-cause analysis, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop robust documentation and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, automation, project engineering, or process engineering.
• Strong knowledge in project engineering, process engineering, and continuous improvement.
• Analytical, troubleshooting and independent work capability.
• Good project management, documentation, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to quality and efficiency.
• Ability to collaborate with customers, HQ, factory teams, cross-functional departments, and management.
• Certifications in industrial automation or project management are advantageous.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all production machines and automation systems are in optimal working condition to support smooth, defect-free operations.

• To validate system performance, reliability, and functionality.

• Identify and resolve bugs or inefficiencies in both hardware and software systems.

• Perform on-site troubleshooting and root cause analysis for machine and system issues; escalated to suppliers and collaborate for remote support when necessary.

• Oversee the installation, integration, and setup of automation solutions - including robotics, control systems, and software - to ensure efficient process flow and minimal downtime.

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by providing automation expertise for seamless implementation and issue-free ramp-up.

• Ensure machines and automation systems consistently meet targeted UPH (Units Per Hour), cycle time, and quality standards.

• Provide ongoing maintenance, preventive upkeep, and technical support for automated equipment and systems.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams - including production, quality, engineering, and project management - to define requirements, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system designs, troubleshooting guides, test plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, project engineering, or process engineering.

• Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the following areas:

  • Project Engineering: Experience in planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring engineering projects to ensure timely delivery and compliance with technical requirements.

  • Process Engineering: Experience in process development, optimisation, troubleshooting, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

• Good project management, technical documentation, and communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, headquarters, factory teams, cross-functional departments, and management.

• Relevant professional certifications in industrial automation, control systems, or project management will be an added advantage.
