Job summary

Talentvis Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead the design, commissioning and installation of automation machines and systems in line with project and production timelines.

The role requires reviewing and upgrading existing lines, performing root cause analyses, and producing comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, procedures, test lists, and PLC programs. Strong coordination with internal teams and external suppliers is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Automation/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Familiarity with PLC programming, CAD and statistical software analysis (MINITAB/MATLAB).

Responsibilities

• Lead, design, commissioning & install automation machines & systems to meet project & production schedule.
• Review & upgrade existing automated production lines via root cause analysis for continuous improvement to meet production new requirement.
• Leader of project coordination & execution.
• Create, prepare, update automation project documentation, procedures & drawings of Gantt chart, weekly progress report, process / equipment flow chart, validation list, buy off/FAT/SAT (Factory / Site Acceptance Test) procedure, mechanical assembly & layout drawing, electrical diagram & wiring, I/O list, co-robot & PLC program, SOP (Standard Operation Procedure), WI (Work Instruction) & PM (preventive maintenance) check list.
• Attention to details of design concepts, provide most cost-effective technical solutions in line with customer and company needs.
• Update & back up automation system documentation, procedures, drawings, software, co-robot & PLC programming timely.
• Coordinate with internal team (BD, QC, production, maintenance) and external supplier to make projects successful.
• Perform leadership & ownership to complete projects on schedule & on quality, support team members work to enhance teamwork spirit.
• Prepare machines preventive maintenance check list and training operation & maintenance staffs. Service & troubleshooting machines when requested.
• Any other duties as and when assigned
• Take reasonable care of workplace health and safety;abide by all EHS policies and procedures; cooperate with Management and colleagues in EHS initiatives

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Automation/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Well-versed in IT skills (MS Office), PLC /CAD, Statistical software analysis (e.g., MINITAB, MATLAB)
