Job summary

Trans-Asiatic Trading Pte Ltd is seeking a motivated Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Manager to drive growth in selected regional markets, with a strong emphasis on Australia and NZ. You will identify new opportunities, expand market presence, and strengthen customer relationships across overseas markets.

The role requires experience in technical sales within marine, shipbuilding, oil & gas or related sectors, and the ability to travel frequently to assigned markets.

Qualifications

• Must have a proven track record in business development and sales.
• Strong client-facing sales and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in Australia and/or New Zealand markets advantageous.
• Technical sales experience in marine/oil & gas or related sectors.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, online platforms, industry networks, trade events, and market intelligence.
• Develop and expand the company's presence in Australia and NZ, while managing and growing existing customer accounts.
• Evaluate sales opportunities and actively follow up on customer inquiries and requirements.
• Understand customers' technical and commercial needs and recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
• Achieve sales targets through planning, forecasting, and execution of business development activities.
• Prepare quotations, support stock planning, and ensure compliance with credit policies and guidelines.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
