Job summary

A leading precision engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Project Engineer to support project feasibility, quality, and timely delivery. Responsibilities include reviewing RFQs, liaising with customers, and tracking project progress. Ideal candidates have a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and strong communication skills. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Competitive compensation is offered.

Qualifications

  • Min 2 year’s relevant experience in a Precision Engineering Company though not necessary.
  • Experience in metal stamping, plastic injection moulding or die casting will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing RFQs, identifying product constraints, and conducting feasibility studies.
  • Liaise with customer on DFM process and design feasibility study.
  • Help prepare and submit samples, FAIR, and PPAP reports.
  • Track part approvals and ensure timely communication to internal teams.
  • Participate in production meetings, support troubleshooting and assist in corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update project documentation including DFM files, drawings etc.

Job description

This role works closely with the Project Engineer to ensure the feasibility, quality, and timely delivery of projects. The Assistant Project Engineer will be involved in supporting technical studies, communicating with customers, and tracking project progress from initial concept through to production, while adhering to the company's standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Assist in reviewing RFQs, identifying product constraints, and conducting feasibility studies.
  • Liaise with customer on DFM process and design feasibility study.
  • Help prepare and submit samples, FAIR, and PPAP reports, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Track part approvals and ensure timely communication to internal teams.
  • Participate in production meetings, support troubleshooting and assist in corrective actions.
