Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Securities Data Control Specialist to join our dynamic Global Financial Market Operations team. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with the ability to work independently, proactively identify and resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data across multiple core systems.

  1. Data Maintenance & Management:Provide comprehensive support for the setup and maintenance of counterparty profiles, trading portfolios, and other critical data within Murex, Front Arena, AXE, MLC, UBIX, and other relevant Treasury systems. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Creation and maintenance of Counterparty.
    • Creation and maintenance of Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs).
    • Maintenance of holiday calendars in Murex, Front Arena, FinIQ, and ILMS.
    • Maintenance of credit ratings for bond issuers.
    • Updates to ISDA / CSA / NAFMII / PAD Master Agreements.
    • Setup and maintenance of currencies and currency pairs in Murex and Front Arena.
    • Creation and maintenance of bond static data in Murex and Front Arena.
  2. Stakeholder Collaboration:Effectively liaise with Treasury dealers, Relationship Managers, Finance Department, RMG, various processing teams to resolve static configuration issues and ensure data accuracy.
  3. Process Improvement:Proactively identify opportunities to improve Straight-Through Processing (STP) and overall operational efficiency through technology enhancements and process optimization. Periodic update in document new and amended processes.
  4. Quality Assurance:Maintain the highest standards of data accuracy and integrity, adhering to strict internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in settlement or Securities Data Control or similar role within a financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments.
  • Expert proficiency in Murex and Front Arena. Additional knowledge with AXE, MLC, UBIX, FinIQ, and ILMS is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft365 suites.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
