A leading environmental testing company in Singapore is seeking an Associate Chemist to conduct a variety of testing assignments. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing environmental samples and ensuring compliance with laboratory standards. The ideal candidate has a minimum Diploma in Chemical Engineering and proficiency in analytical equipment. Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in relevant field required.
  • Experience with advanced analytical equipment is a plus.
  • Understanding of ISO 17025 compliance is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct tests on environmental samples and building materials.
  • Prepare reagents and ensure compliance with QA/QC standards.
  • Maintain equipment and lab safety management.

Skills

Proficient in using equipment (e.g., IC, ICPMS, ICPOES, GC-MS)
In-depth understanding of testing concepts
Ability to analyze and compile testing data

Education

Minimum Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related field
Job description
Overview

Associate Chemist to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, you will perform a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and ensure timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.

this role is based in Sungei Kadut Loop, Singapore.

Job Duties
  • Conduct testing of environmental samples of wastewater, trade effluent. Leaching test of building materials. Suitability test of water
  • Conduct chemical analysis using wet chemistry methods, HACH & APHA methodologies as well as ICP, TOC, IC, FTIR, UV_VIS instrumentation.
  • Ensure reagents preparation, QA/QC and test methods are in compliance with ISO 17025 requirement.
  • Upkeep equipment calibration, maintenance, and verification for lab quality management compliance.
  • Perform sampling & on site testing when required
  • Maintain 5S, Lab Safety Management and Chemical Inventory.
  • Ensure chemicals and consumables availability and request for replenishment when necessary
Job Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Chemical Process or Analytical course
  • Proficient in using equipment eg IC, ICPMS, ICPOES, GC-MS could be added advantage
  • In-depth understanding of testing concepts
  • Ability to analyze and compile testing data from the tests performed
