Job summary

The Garcha Group in Singapore is seeking a proactive sales-focused professional to manage group room enquiries, site inspections, and corporate accounts, coordinating with in-house departments to ensure flawless execution and VIP guest handling.

You will drive new business through regular sales calls, prospecting, and market intelligence, while meeting and exceeding department sales goals and maintaining high standards of service and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Manages group room enquiries (10 or more rooms / people) from receipt to contracting and payment.
• Liaises with in-house departments for quick execution and conversion of group business; maintains ownership of group blocks and VIP guest handling.
• Manages site inspections, organizes visits, assigns rooms, coordinates departments to showcase the hotel.
• Communicates professionally; prepares/edits documents; answers phones with proper etiquette.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships; responds to colleagues’ concerns.
• Meets and exceeds individual and team sales goals across department budget.
• Conducts five sales calls daily and three weekly sales activities (site inspections/entertainment).
• Identifies and develops new potential accounts (min two new accounts per week).
• Develops sales plans to generate business from identified markets/accounts.
• Determines corporate account needs and initiates sales activities for future bookings.
• Promotes current promotions and benefits of the hotel to customers.
• Manages and grows corporate accounts by tracking transient, group, and catering goals.
• Negotiate transient rates for assigned accounts.
• Proactively prospect new business via calls, visits, trade shows, emails, and research.
• Gather market intelligence on product ideas, competition, and trends.
• Ensure prompt follow-up on inquiries; maintain booking accuracy and documentation standards.
• Be a team player, motivate peers, and build interdepartmental relations while maintaining customer satisfaction and morale.
• Adhere to personal behavioral norms (integrity, grooming, accountability).
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
