Job summary

EA RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned Freight Coordinator to join our client’s German MNC freight forwarding team in Singapore. You will arrange and coordinate shipments by sea, air or land, and ensure timely deliveries while adhering to contract terms.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience in freight forwarding and a Diploma in Business Administration or Logistics management. AWS and a variable bonus are offered as part of the excellent welfare package.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Business Administration / Logistics management or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of working experience in freight forwarding industry.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and coordinate shipments by sea, air or land.
• Implement and supervise tracking & tracing tools for projects.
• Update tracking & tracing tools for respective projects.
• Prepare quotations to clients and negotiate ad-hoc quotations to ensure best rates.
• Liaise with overseas offices and agents to ensure timely delivery.

Job Scope

• Arrange and coordinate shipments by sea, air or land
• Implement and supervise tracking & tracing tools when in place for the respective project
• Update the tracking & tracing tools when in place for the respective project
• Develop together with the client sufficient Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)and implement those within the team and relevant office in the network
• Understand and guide respective team members to ensure contract's terms and conditions are adhered and complied
• Apply the necessary customs permits
• Liaise with contractors on timely collection and delivery of cargoes in Singapore
• Liaise with respective overseas offices and agents
• Attending to site meetings, surveys & loadouts as and when required
• Acknowledge incoming invoices and raise invoices to customers for payment
• Update and operate the Operations System (BLU)
• Update the tracking and tracing tools when in place for respective project
• Prepare quotations to clients, other office or agents
• Request and negotiate ad-hoc quotations from approved carriers, supplier and sub-contractor to ensure quality service at the best possible rate
• Ensure all clients requests are shared with the Operations Manager or Project Manager

Requirement
