Job summary

lum chang builders pte. ltd. is seeking an experienced Design Coordinator-Architecture to support the Manager with reports, documentation, and meetings.

The role leads a team of design coordinators to coordinate architectural works in line with project specs, timelines and quality standards. Key duties include liaising with consultants, clients and subcontractors to ensure accurate interpretation of drawings and compliance with URA/BCA and company standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture required.
• 8+ years of managerial experience in a main construction firm.
• Knowledge of local submission processes (URA/BCA or equivalents).

Responsibilities

• Support the Manager in preparing reports, managing documentation, and attending coordination meetings.
• Lead a design coordination team to manage and coordinate architectural works per project specs, timelines, and quality.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure proper interpretation and implementation of drawings.
• Ensure compliance with local authority requirements, codes of practice, and company standards.
• Plan, organize and supervise production of construction drawings including shop drawings submissions and approvals.
• Provide technical support to the site team and address design issues during construction.
• Monitor architectural progress on-site and resolve coordination issues between structural, M&E, and ID trades.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet architectural requirements.
• Communicate clearly in Mandarin with Chinese-speaking subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.

The Requirements

• Knowledge of local submission and authority processes (e.g., URA, BCA, or local equivalents).
