Job summary

HEXACON CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD on Singapore site seeks an Architectural Site Supervisor to assist the Project Engineer and Architectural Coordinator in directing construction work and ensuring high workmanship quality.

You will coordinate updates to drawings and surveys, verify materials and methods, and support subcontractors while maintaining safety and site discipline.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Architectural Studies, Building or a related discipline.
• 3 years of relevant experience in architectural works within the construction industry.
• Experience with a Main Contractor is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, details and specifications.
• Experience coordinating architectural subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Familiar with shop drawings, material submissions, samples, RFIs and inspection procedures.
• Knowledge of architectural finishes, workmanship and quality requirements.
• Familiar with Singapore construction practices and authority requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Engineer or Architectural Coordinator in supervising on-site construction work and ensure quality.
• Assist subcontractors with updated drawings, surveys and lifting of materials.
• Ensure workmanship standards: alignment, levels, verticality and dimensions.
• Check material correctness and installation methods.
• Prevent abortive works by inspecting work in progress before inspections.
• Receive and record materials from suppliers, checking quantity and quality.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe work practices on site.
• Keep a site diary recording workers, equipment, tools and activities.
• Inform engineers about problems or foreseen issues such as shortages or space constraints.

• To assist the sub-contractors in matters of updates drawings, survey and lifting of material.
• To ensure that the basic and generic workmanship standards of alignment, levels, verticality and dimensions are correct.
• To check that the material used are correct and the installation method are correct.
• To arrest abortive works early by checking work while in progress to ensure that it is properly done before calling for inspection by RE/RTO.
• Responsible for the receiving and recording of materials from suppliers and vendors including the checking of quality of quantity.
• To ensure good housekeeping of workplace and safe work practices and initiate such works at anytime and at anyplace within the job site.
• To keep own site diary to record the numbers of workers, equipment, tools and nature of works.
• To inform the Project Engineer and Architectural Coordinator on any problems encountered or foreseeable e.g. material shortage, working / storage space, workforce and discrepancies in drawings and also safety related matters.
