Job summary

GMP Technologies is seeking a site supervisor to manage daily subcontractor activities on our project site in Singapore. You will attend meetings, monitor progress and safety compliance, verify drawings, and coordinate with the project team to ensure timely approvals.

Responsibilities include maintaining inspection records, guiding workers, and supporting cost-saving efforts while adapting to varied hours as required for project needs.

• Attend daily subcontractors meetings to discuss structure and architectural issues to meet project targets.
• Check site progress and safety compliance of subcontractors and report findings to supervisor and safety officer.
• Verify subcontractors works align with approved drawings/details and take remedial actions for non-conformance.
• Conduct daily inspections with the project RE or RTO and address comments to ensure works are approved for commencement.
• Keep proper inspection records for future reference and submit as evidence for potential defects.
• Provide guidance to general workers and subcontractors, seek senior staff consultation when in doubt.
• Strive for fast approvals for all assignments and apply BCA good practices on site.
• Assist in Environmental Health Safety programs set by the PM/WSHO to maintain a safe site.
• Upgrade oneself through construction courses and cost-saving methods for site efficiency.
• Accept additional project work to support the team and cost savings.
• Coach new site supervisors to ensure seamless integration without affecting progress.
• Be prepared to work varied hours or late nights as necessary for duties.

Job description

• Attend to all daily subcontractors meeting to discuss daily structure and architectural issues in order to meet the project target schedule.
• Check the site progress and safety compliance of the subcontractors and report the findings to the immediate superior and safety officer.
• Check the subcontractors works are done accordance to the approved drawings/ details and take remedial actions for non-conformance.
• Equipped with the knowledge to conduct daily activities inspections with the project RE or RTO and take actions to clear their comments to ensure that the works are approved for commencement.
• Keep proper records of the inspection forms for future reference and submit as evidence for legal issue arising from unforeseen future defects.
• Show added confidence when dealing with general workers or subcontractors and peers, when in doubt to always seek consultation with senior site staff and to understand contractors contractual obligation and practice mutual respect at all levels.
• Strive to achieve fast and efficient approval for all assignments and always be vigilant with keen observation to put into practice BCA good practice in all aspects of work on site.
• Participate in assisting the Environmental Health Safety program set by the PM and WSHO that will contribute to a safe and clean site.
• Make effort to upgrade oneself to meet / exceed present standards through attendance of construction courses by BCA or equivalent institutions and also study on cost saving methods that are feasible for site usage.
• Able to accept additional work that form part of the project teams own work activities which will assist in cost saving.
• Provide Guidance to new / fresh site supervisor that join the company to ensure seamless integration to the team without affecting the site progress.
• You may required to work varied hours or late night work as may be necessary for the proper performance of your duties.
