Job summary

RECRUIT NOW SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an Assistant Application Engineer (Automation) to support sales and customers with product capabilities and applications.

The role involves remote and on-site troubleshooting, product testing, and hands-on system setup at customer sites across Singapore. Ideal candidates have a Diploma or Degree in engineering, about 1 year of automation experience with sensors and actuators, and knowledge of SQL/MySQL plus C#, Java or Python.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering is required.
• 1 year with sensors/actuators and automation experience in manufacturing.
• Familiar with logic control, comms protocols and Excel.
• Knowledge of SQL/MySQL and at least one of C#, Java or Python.

Responsibilities

• Support sales reps and customers on product capabilities by phone and email.
• Analyse and troubleshoot customer issues remotely and on-site.
• Conduct product application testing for sales reps and customers.
• Travel to customer sites for system setup, adjustment and fine-tuning.
• Conduct post-sales application training and create/update training manuals.
• Assists sales reps with on-site customer presentations when needed and identify department efficiency improvements.
• Other duties or projects as assigned.

Assistant Application Engineer (Automation)

Industry: Industrial Automation (Sensors, Vision Systems & PLCs)

• New Entry: Diploma in Engineering $2,200 basic / Degree in Engineering $3,000 basic
• Employment: 12-month contract (renewable or convertible to permanent) - 1-month Completion Bonus
• Day/timings: 5 days, Mon-Fri 8:15AM-5:30PM
• Location: Kallang/travel to customer sites as required

Company brief: Our client is an established supplier of factory-automation sensors, measurement and vision systems and PLCs, with a direct technical sales model.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support sales reps and customers on product capabilities, specifications and applications by phone and email
• Analyse and troubleshoot customer issues remotely and on-site
• Conduct product application testing for sales reps and customers
• Travel to customer sites for system setup, adjustment and fine-tuning
• Conduct post-sales application training and create/update training manuals
• Assist sales reps with on-site customer presentations when neededIdentify and drive improvements to department efficiency
• Other duties or projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in an engineering discipline
• 1 year with sensors and actuators (DC motors, encoders, relays, solenoids) and stepper/servo motors, with automation experience in manufacturing
• Familiar with logic control, communication protocols and Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of SQL/MySQL and C#, Java or Python
