Job summary

Recruit Now Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an Assistant Application Engineer (Automation) in Singapore to support customers with product capabilities and applications. The role involves on-site visits, testing, and training to ensure optimal integration of sensors and automation systems.

The candidate should have a Diploma/degree in engineering, at least 1 year of experience with sensors/actuators, plus familiarity with logic control, Excel, and data protocols.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 1 year experience with sensors and actuators (e.g. DC motors, encoders, relays, & solenoids).
• Familiar with Logic control, Microsoft Excel skills, and communication protocol.

Responsibilities

• Receive inquiries about product capabilities, specifications, and applications.
• Analyze and troubleshoot customer issues by phone/email and on-site.
• Travel to customer sites for on-site support and system setup.
• Conduct post-sales application training and create/update training manuals.
• Assist sales reps with on-site presentations and identify process improvements.

Our Client, a technology company that supplies industrial automation products to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality, is inviting qualified candidates to fill the position as Assistant Application Engineer (Automation).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive phone calls or emails from sales reps and customers and answer inquiries concerning product capabilities, specifications, and applications
• Analyze and troubleshoot customer issues via phone/email as well as on-site.
• Conduct product application testing for sales reps and customers.
• Travel to customer’s site for on-site support including setup, adjustment/fine-tuning the system.
• Conduct post sales application training to customers.
• Create and update manuals for post sales application training for customers.
• May assist sales reps with on-site presentations to customers, as needed
• Proactively identify areas to improve department operation efficiency and initiate projects to achieve such improvements
• Understand and observe company / department policies and procedures
• Other duties or projects, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma/ Degree in an engineering discipline
• Minimum 1 year experience with sensors and actuators (e.g. DC motors, encoders, relays, & solenoids), Stepper/Servo Motor
• Familiar with Logic control, Microsoft Excel skills
• Familiar with communication protocol
• Knowledge of Database Language (SQL/MySQL)
• Knowledge of C#/Java/Python

OTHER INFORMATION

• Location : Kallang
• Working Days/Hours : Monday to Friday, 8.15am to 5.30pm
• Salary: S$3,200 higher (salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)
