Job summary

Progression Search is seeking a senior business development leader for its APAC public sector practice. You will lead regional sales to government, defense, and public safety agencies, and mentor high-performing teams while advising on geo-spatial platforms.

The role focuses on building executive-level partnerships, navigating complex tenders and multi-year budgets, and delivering measurable revenue by guiding solution roadmaps and strategic deals across APAC, with up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience selling to government, defense, or public sector in APAC.
• 3+ years mentoring and leading a team.
• Experience with geo-spatial technology and platforms.
• Experience supporting or establishing platforms for defense, intelligence, emergency management, or public safety operations.
• Strong storytelling and negotiation skills.
• Deep understanding of APAC public sector fiscal cycles and B2G sales cycles.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% in APAC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the regional business development team.
• Advise and establish geo-spatial platforms for public agencies.
• Cultivate executive-level public sector partnerships across civil government and emergency management bodies.
• Navigate government workflows, tenders, multi-year budgeting, and complex procurement to gain executive alignment.
