Job summary

Taylor & Francis, based in Singapore, seeks a strategic APAC role to develop new commercial models for the region and strengthen academic partnerships. You will blend strategy, finance, and marketing with direct customer engagement to identify regional needs and drive revenue growth.

You will work with regional teams to implement proposals, pilot initiatives, and manage diverse stakeholders, aiming to expand the APAC addressable market while maintaining editorial excellence.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of customer and market segments in publishing, with APAC focus.
• Background in sales, marketing, strategy, or proposition development.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence customers.
• Solid commercial awareness around revenue and profit dynamics.
• Strong project management and planning skills.
• Willingness to collaborate across APAC regions and functions and take calculated risks.
• Experience in APAC academic publishing or education sectors.
• Understanding regional cultural and business nuances in APAC.
• Experience with commercial partnerships and outsourced sales models in Asia.
• Knowledge of editorial processes and peer-review workflows.
• Established network within APAC academic and research communities.

Responsibilities

• Market analysis and customer insight for APAC regions not served by current models.
• Develop and prioritize propositions with regional teams and leadership.
• Design propositions with cross-functional partners to meet regional needs profitably.
• Develop business cases for sustainable APAC revenue streams.
• Pilot propositions in APAC before wider rollout and testing.
• Support regional content strategies and academic partnerships.
• Identify opportunities for collaborative publishing and open-access models.
• Pilot new editorial workflows to improve author/editor experience.
• Maintain alignment with SVP Asia Pacific and leadership teams.
