Job summary

Vell, a fast-growing fintech, seeks a Managing Director based in Singapore to lead operations and strategic expansion across Asia-Pacific. Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in fintech, payments, banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of cross-border payments or financial infrastructure.
• Experience working with financial regulators or licensing processes.
• Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships within the financial industry.
• Experience in payments, remittance, or digital financial services.
• Must be resident in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment and growth of Vell’s presence in Singapore and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
• Represent the company with local stakeholders, partners, and financial institutions.
• Support strategic initiatives to expand Vell’s product offerings and market presence.
• Ensure the company maintains compliance with Singapore financial regulations.
• Support engagement with relevant regulatory authorities and licensing processes.
• Provide governance oversight for the Singapore entity.
• Identify and develop strategic partnerships with banks, payment providers, and financial institutions.
• Support corridor expansion and regional market development.
• Oversee local operations and ensure alignment with global operational standards.
• Work closely with compliance, risk, and operations teams to maintain strong internal controls.
• Work with global leadership to shape the company’s Asia-Pacific strategy.
• Provide market insights to inform product development and regional growth initiatives.
