Job summary

Amazon Asia-Pacific Resources Private Limited (Singapore) seeks a Backbone Network Business Developer to scale AWS backbone infrastructure in APAC. You will own end-to-end vendor strategy, drive capacity planning, and coordinate with network engineers and finance to deliver cost-efficient, scalable solutions across the region.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, deep telecom/vendor experience, and a track record of delivering large-scale backbone projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in network planning, construction/implementation, or commercial implementation

Responsibilities

• Drive supplier identification, evaluation, and contracting for backbone capacity and related infra across APAC
• Develop and negotiate technical and commercial solutions to optimize total cost of ownership
• Build backbone network plans and investment cases for senior stakeholders
• Coordinate across suppliers and internal teams to deliver capacity on time and within budget
• Design efficient network topology across longhaul, metro, and subsea paths
• Collaborate with finance on business cases, budgets, and tracking of projects
• Monitor market trends and pricing to inform sourcing strategy and opportunities
