Job summary

AIR CHINA LIMITED is seeking an Airlines Operation Officer to oversee day-to-day ground traffic operations at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1. You will ensure aircraft are serviced safely, efficiently, and on schedule, coordinating with handlers, catering, fueling, and maintenance teams.

The role requires fluency in Chinese for internal communications and documentation, leadership capabilities, and the ability to respond to disruptions with swift, informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Aviation Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• Experience in airline/airport operations or ground handling.
• Shift work including weekends and public holidays.
• Familiarity with IATA/ICAO is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise airline ground operations, including aircraft turnaround activities.

• Ensure on-time departures and arrivals by monitoring flight schedules.

• Handle operational disruptions such as flight delays, cancellations, weather issues, or equipment failures.

Essential Prerequisite:

Fluency in Chinese - encompassing reading, writing, and verbal communication - is mandatory. The role requires effective and fluent communication with our China headquarters and various internal departments, as well as the ability to read, understand, and work from all internal company documents, official notifications, and operational guidelines, which are issued exclusively in the Chinese language.

• Experience in airline operations, airport operations, or ground handling.
• Shift work is required, including weekends and public holidays.
• Familiarity with international aviation standards such as those from International Air Transport Association and International Civil Aviation Organization is an advantage.
