Job summary

B & H WORLDWIDE (SG) PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Duty Officer to join the Operations team. You will ensure smooth running of all aspects of export and import airfreight operations while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires at least one year in airfreight operations, a standard day shift Monday to Friday 9am–6pm, and strong communication and computer literacy to update tracking systems and liaise with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Export or Import Airfreight operations (minimum 1 year).
• Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm.

Responsibilities

• Customer service: attend calls and respond to emails promptly.
• Booking, execution of AWB and declaring Tradnet permits.
• Responsible for all import & export shipments.
• Expedite on AOG shipments.
• Handle logistics & 3rd party inventory shipments.
• Ensure shipments follow requirements and schedules.
• Update shipment status on in-house tracking system.
• Respond to staff/customer queries.
• Manage inventory shipments stored in warehouse.
• Liaise with Operations Supervisor on changes to work instructions.

Purpose

To work within Operations team, to ensure the smooth running of all aspect of operations, whilst providing excellent customer service at all times.

Main Role Accountabilities

General Duties

• Customer Service, attending calls and promptly response E-mails correspondence
• Booking, Execution of awb and declaring Tradnet permits
• Responsible for all import & export shipments.
• Able to expedite on AOG (Aircraft on ground) shipments process
• Able to handle Logistics & 3rd party Inventory shipments
• Ensure the shipment are done in accordance with requirements and expected schedule.
• Updating shipment status on In-house Online Tracking system.
• Respond to operational staff/customer queries.
• Deal with Inventory requirements, logging incoming and outgoing shipments that are stored in our warehouse.
• Maintain and share with colleagues as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant transport laws and procedures and restrictions.
• Liaise with Operations Supervisor to identify any changes in work instructions and/or processes where appropriate, thus providing reliant handling of Cargo/Goods.
• To undertake duties in accordance with defined processes and work instructions.
