Job summary

ALIGN RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Service Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot cooling systems, including CRAC/HCMV setups.

The role requires travel between sites and on-site work with a focus on reliability and safety. You will interact with customer facilities teams to ensure compliance with standards. The ideal candidate has a technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering, with hands-on experience in data centre cooling and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must have Nitec or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience with cooling systems and preventative maintenance is preferred.
• Experience with CRAC, precision air conditioning, or data-centre cooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine cooling system maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting.
• Report on work activities and corrections on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Plan, execute, and update daily work schedules and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Job description

Service Engineer (CRAC / HCMV)

Working days: 5.5 days

Working hours: Mon-Fri: 9am-6pm | Sat: 9am-1pm

Working Location: Need to travel and station from site to site

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine cooling system maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting.
• Determine the underlying causes of hardware and software issues, diagnose them, and provide fixes.
• Respond quickly to e-mails (emergency calls) and perform equipment power-up/down procedures.
• Offer on-site instruction on Operation & Maintenance Manuals (OMM) and technical support.
• Continue to have solid client relationships.
• Communicate with customer engineering departments to make sure that corporate policies and quality standards are being followed.
• After every servicing or e-call, complete thorough service reports.
• Report on work activities, progress, and corrective measures on a weekly or monthly basis.
• Ensure that all service records are accurately filed, documented, and tracked.
• Keep an eye on and oversee contractor operations to make sure operational and safety protocols are followed.
• Examine the site's "Events and Actions," making any necessary corrections.
• Plan, execute, and update daily work schedules.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Min Nitec in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Practical expertise in cooling systems and preventative maintenance engineering, ideally with data centre cooling solutions, CRAC, precision air conditioning, or other mission-critical cooling infrastructure.
• Practical understanding of CRAC, WDS (water detection system), or associated essential infrastructure.
• Travel and station site to site are necessary.
