Job summary

SEARCH PERSONNEL PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a Service Engineer (CRAC / Data Centre Cooling) in Singapore. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting CRAC and water detection systems, and close collaboration with customer engineering teams.

You will manage service reports, safety compliance and on-site training, with standby duties as required. Qualified candidates have a diploma or ITE in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in ACMV/DX

Qualifications

• Minimum ITE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of hands-on preventive maintenance experience; ACMV or DX systems is a plus.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of CRAC and water detection systems (WDS) or similar critical facility infra.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, servicing and troubleshooting of CRAC and WDS.
• Diagnose faults, identify root causes and suggest solutions.
• Carry out power-up/down procedures and respond to service calls.
• Provide technical support and onsite training on operation manuals.
• Build customer relationships and liaise with customer engineering teams.
• Prepare service reports and maintain documentation.
• Monitor safety and quality compliance; plan daily work schedules.
• Perform standby duties as required and work in data centre environments.

• Position : Service Engineer (CRAC / Data Centre Cooling)
• Working hours : Monday to Friday | 8.30am to 5.30pm, Saturday half day 8.30am-12.30pm half day (whenever project required)
• Location: Kaki Bukit
• Salary (commensurate with experience) : Up to $5000 Basic + Minimum 1-4 months Variable Bonus + 15 days Annual Leaves + Medical Benefits + Dental

Main Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, servicing and troubleshooting of CRAC and water detection systems (WDS).
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, identify root causes and recommend solutions.
• Carry out equipment power-up/down procedures and respond to emergency service calls.
• Provide technical support and onsite training on operation and maintenance manuals.
• Build strong customer relationships and liaise with customer engineering teams.
• Prepare service reports and maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Monitor contractors and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
• Plan daily work schedules and ensure compliance with data centre safety and quality standards.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum ITE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in preventive maintenance engineering; ACMV or DX system experience will be an advantage.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of CRAC systems, water detection systems (WDS) or other critical facility infrastructure.
• Good problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team with a willingness to learn.
• Willing to perform standby duties when required.
• Able to perform manual tasks in data centre environments.
