Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in Singapore seeks an experienced freight forwarder to manage end-to-end air freight shipments, ensuring on-time delivery from origin to destination and back. You will coordinate bookings, verify documents, and proactivelyMitigate risks while supporting 24/7 operations for time-critical shipments.

You will build strong relationships with healthcare customers, contribute to process improvements, and maintain strict compliance with regulatory and SOP requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in air freight operations or freight forwarding, preferably handling time-critical shipments.
• Strong knowledge of shipment documentation, regulatory compliance, carrier coordination, and operational processes.
• Good customer service, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and support 24/7 operational or emergency shipment requirements when needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end execution of air freight shipments from origin to destination and vice versa.
• Monitor time-critical shipments to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate booking arrangements with carriers and service providers.
• Ensure timely preparation and verification of shipping documentation.
• Proactively identify operational risks and implement corrective actions to prevent service failures.
• Manage shipment milestones and update customers and stakeholders on shipment status.
• Support 24/7 operational requirements and emergency shipment handling when required.
• Act as a subject matter expert for airfreight logistics processes and compliance requirements.
• Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Ensure adherence to operational standard operating procedures.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Deliver high-quality customer service aligned with agreed service levels.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and shipment exceptions.
• Support customer reviews and operational meetings.
• Manage escalation cases and provide timely resolutions.
• Build strong working relationships with key healthcare customers.
• Ensure accurate and timely cost capture and vendor invoice validation.
• Maintain operational productivity and cost efficiency.
• Support billing accuracy and timely revenue recognition.
• Minimize operational losses arising from service failures or documentation errors.
