Job summary

sggovterp invites applications for the role of Assistant Manager (Admissions Systems) to lead the end-to-end enhancements of admissions platforms used by Polytechnics and ITE. You will coordinate MOE, participating IHLs and the system vendor to ensure timely, quality delivery aligned with admissions policies and processes.

The role involves requirements gathering, testing, rollout and post go-live support under a 2-year contract.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in IHL admissions, IT system projects or project coordination.
• Familiarity with admissions processes, Full Subject-Based Banding, student systems or the education sector is advantageous.
• Strong coordination, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work with multiple agencies and vendors with good follow-through and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of system enhancement projects from requirements to rollout and post go-live support.
• Track project plans, timelines, issue logs and risk registers to ensure delivery.
• Monitor vendor deliverables against scope, milestones and service levels.
• Escalate risks, issues and dependencies and recommend mitigations.
• Collaborate with MOE and IHLs to gather, analyse and document business requirements.
• Translate admissions policies and workflows into clear system requirements.
• Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate defect logging and resolution with the vendor.
• Support production setup, cutover planning and rollout activities.
• Monitor system performance post-deployment and address post go-live gaps.
