Job summary

Republic Polytechnic is seeking an Assistant Manager for Admissions Systems to oversee the end-to-end enhancement, testing and rollout of admissions systems. You will serve as the liaison between MOE, participating Institutes of Higher Learning and the system vendor to ensure timely delivery aligned with policies and quality standards.

The role is a 2-year contract and requires strong coordination and documentation abilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IHL admissions, IT system projects, or system enhancements.
• Familiarity with admissions processes, Full Subject-Based Banding, student systems or education sector advantageous.
• Strong coordination, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work with multiple agencies and vendors with good follow-through and attention to detail.
• High level of accuracy in data handling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of system enhancement projects from requirements gathering through development, testing, rollout and post go-live support.
• Keep track of project plans, timelines, issue logs and risk registers to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor vendor deliverables against scope, milestones and service levels.
• Escalate risks, issues and dependencies and recommend mitigations.
• Work with MOE and IHLs to gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements.
• Translate policies into clear system requirements.
• Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate defect logging and resolution with the vendor.
• Support production setup, cutover planning and rollout activities.
• Monitor system performance post-deployment and rectify bugs or gaps.
