POET Technologies is seeking a Finance Specialist to support daily accounting and finance functions, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and timely processing in line with company policies and reporting standards. The role emphasizes attention to detail, collaboration with stakeholders, and adherence to IFRS/SFRS.

The candidate should have a Diploma in Accounting with at least 3 years of finance experience, proficiency in Excel, and exposure to NetSuite ERP.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting required.
• 3+ years of experience in finance/accounting.
• Familiarity with SFRS and IFRS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of NetSuite ERP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounts payable and receivable with accurate data entry and timely payments.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on invoicing and payments.
• Process and update invoices, payment records, databases and spreadsheets.
• Process staff claims and expense reimbursements accurately and on time.
• Support statutory audits and tax requirements, and other ad-hoc finance tasks as assigned.
• Assist in reconciliations, especially payables and balance sheet schedules.
